Finished General Logo

Just a quick update-- I've finally got my Final Logo hammered out and done. While I would have liked to have found my VERY first logo I did in Professional Development class as a means of greater comparison, I found the earliest version I did and compared it with the final.

My idea for the Mark 1 was to go AWAY from the norm, make my logo Unique. However as I quickly found out, people just don't seem to like rectangles. :P So I had to default to a circular logo, and here we are. Version 2 had "H H" in the middle for Highland Hanson Graphics, but after some review with my instructor he agreed with me when I mentioned that using the name of my graphics group would be a poor idea if I'm going to be using this logo for all my graphics. Later down the line, I'm hoping to use Highland Hanson Graphics as my handle purely for graphics and things I'd be doing on the Renaissance Faire Circuit, while for all else non-specific I'll use the handle 'Graphics by Hanson.' Soooo.. Here we are! And yes, you've probably noticed, I pulled heavy inspiration from the Art Nouveau style here, my own personal way of incorporating something old into something modern.

College Work - Digital Portfolio (5/16/2012)

Last but not least, as promised, the Digital Portfolio.

College Work - Flash Thingies

The flash stuff I did that I promised to show. A talking/blinking animation, very simple, and the ending to what will be a flash greeting card regarding friendship I'm to be doing.

The text is all.. Blegh. I'm going to have to fix that wobbling thing it's doing.

College Work - "Emotions" Project and Update.

Continuing with the college work, I have some more stuff I've done that I'm ready to submit. A handful of pictures, a couple of flash things I've done, and a digital portfolio I've put together at this point in time. (The portfolio will, of course, be updated over time as I add more new things in, and push more old stuff out.) So look forward to that! Here are a couple of pictures to start off with, from the "Emotion" project given to me in my digital photography class.

The goal here was to create a series of pictures expressing different emotions, WITHOUT having people in the shots. I was trying not to have any creatures humanoid or otherwise in the shots, but my cat Sue managed to squeeze herself in. I have a penchant for Macro shots, so you'll see quite a few of those in here. And please note, no pictures have been edited except for cropping, or very obvious color adjustments. (The project called for two monochromatic, and two black and white.)

I forgot to add a title to this one, but it's called "Fear of Inevitability".

Un-Edited, and also fairly old. Just a lucky shot with the flash of a digital camera. The black reflective surface is the surface of a guitar. I've saved the best for last, as I believe you should end a note on a happy note!

First Post

By request of Dennis, my teacher in college, I now have a blogspot blog! Yay.. I think? More than likely just going to showcase things I do in college here. So, first up, a presentation made regarding Guy Edwardes and his work.
